Omar Azami, CFA

Omar has 20 years of experience in Investment Management including investing and researching both global and frontier equities, specifically the MENA and Africa and has extensive knowledge of Shariah compliant investment funds. He is currently the Co-Founder of Sheerleap Limited, a UK based Investment boutique that focuses on frontier market opportunities in Africa, Middle East and Asia.

Previously, Omar has worked as a fund manager, research analyst, and portfolio analyst with major financial institutions such as: Ratings Intelligence, Insight Investments, Citigroup, JP Morgan and Oasis Asset Management. He initiated the setting up of Shariah Compliant Funds at Insight Investment. Omar has authored numerous articles related to the Shariah compliant equity screening process at Ratings Intelligence and has consulted Investment Houses on how to create and manage a Shariah compliant fund.

Omar holds a degree in Business Mathematics and Statistics from the London School of Economics, a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance and Mathematical Finance and is a CFA Charterholder. Omar is a member of the CFA Institute, The CFA Society of the UK and serves on the CFA Society of the UK Structured Learning Committee.

Missy Devlin

Missy has broad marketing and sales experience across industry verticals based on a 30- year career as both client and agency/consultant transforming brands. As Chief Commercial Officer of the Human Capital Leadership Institute, a think tank founded by Singapore Ministry of Education, Economic Development Board and Singapore Management University, she led the sales and marketing of the Institute’s executive education programs as well as chaired the annual Global Leadership Summit attended by over 400 senior business and HR leaders.

Prior to HCLI, Missy was Regional Director Marketing in Asia for SUBWAY, the world’s largest restaurant chain, leading brand communications, new product development, strategic pricing and omnichannel marketing. Prior to SUBWAY, Missy led the marketing efforts at NUS Business School aligning their external message with the school’s global leadership role. Prior to NUS, Missy was the VP of Marketing Asia for APC/Schneider Electric where she played an integral role in the post-acquisition planning and implementation of the USD$6.3billion purchase of APC in Asia.

A graduate of Dartmouth College and American raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Missy has lived and worked in Japan, Taiwan, China, India, Thailand and Singapore while managing teams globally.

William Ettelson

Bill serves as a Portfolio Manager with Wolfe Global Capital (WGC), an investment vehicle based in NY, focused on long and short investments in the TMT (telecommunications, media, and technology) and mining industries.  WGC also opportunistically makes direct private investments in the education, energy management, real estate, hybrid auto, wireless, and health care industries.

Prior to WGC, Bill served as a Limited Partner, Analyst, and Sector Portfolio Manager at Vardon Capital Management (a NY-based global long/short equity hedge fund led by a Tudor Capital alumnus). Prior to Vardon, Bill spent eleven years in investment banking at Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, and Salomon Brothers in NY and Asia. 

Bill graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School, earned a Master of Science degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from the London School of Economics, and graduated from Yale College.
